dis ABILITY Louth are seeking a volunteer with experience in Communications and Public Relations to join our committee and promote our P.R. work.
The Role
Develop a PR and social media communications plan to expand the reach of the organisation
Experience
- Experience in Communications planning with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge and understanding of online communication channels
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Digitally connected
- Knowledge of social media platforms
- Some experience of the community and voluntary sector would be beneficial
- Whilst much of the role can be done remotely the volunteer may be required to attend in person meetings in County Louth
Tasks
- Ensure weekly social media updates are posted
- Create and distribute monthly newsletter
- Develop relationships with local media outlets and submit regular articles promoting disABILITY Louth and key campaigns relevant to the organisation
- Ensure organisation activities are featured in local radio station community notices
- Alongside Chair of organisation develop specific campaigns for the organisation
- Chair PR Sub Committee and sit on organisation steering group
The successful candidate should be over 18 years of age, with a good comprehension of English
