Disability Louth ‘Breaking the Mould’ Art Programme Exhibition was launched on Tuesday 7th February, in Drogheda.   This much anticipated event hosted by Highlanes Gallery, was attended by the four groups involved ROC Service, Drogheda, Irish Wheelchair Association Ardee, Blackrock Hub/St John of God and Rehab Care, Dundalk.   The four tutors were also in attendance, Caoimhe O’Dwyer, Goda Sirutyte, Maureen Finn and Nicola Crowe, who interacted with many of the participants who took part in the 16 weeks programme.   Also in attendance were members of Louth Local Development who have been working closely with Disability Louth on this project from the beginning.

Speaking at the event Mr. David Larkin Chairperson of Disability Louth, thanked both Louth County Council and Louth Local Development for their funding and support of the programme.

Annette Monaghan also thanked Aoife Ruane Director of Highlanes Gallery and her team for their enthusiasm and dedication in running the Exhibition for the next 10 weeks to 15th April.   Annette also expressed her gratitude and congratulations to all the participants in creating individual and group Art Pieces to Exhibit and expresses that this Exhibition is a must see, to admire and support the positive creativeness of everyone involved in the Art Programme.
